PICTURES BY NIGEL, KAREN & NEIL WALLACE
WHITE ONE SUGAR
The White One Sugar image style was inspired by railway companies that used artists to produce works of art, in the mid 20th century, for their advertising posters. The designs varied between illustrators, companies and the period in which they were created. Our pictures also have different styles, some being a copy of what is in the location and others bringing landmarks of a town together in a picture. Drawn on computer, these images are more in keeping with what would normally be produced by a graphic designer rather than an artist. A great deal of artistic knowledge is needed as well as design skill in painting the many shapes and light effects.

LATEST PICTURES
We are now being asked regularly to draw pictures for businesses and individuals.
If this is of interest to you please look on our commission page. The Bishop’s Finger,
Canterbury just had to be drawn.
The pictures of Kent on this site are only a small collection of what we hope will
be available in the future. This series is going to become much bigger and cover
a far wider area of Great Britain, even abroad. The designers are coming up with
new ideas all the time for images that might work but there doesn't seem enough days
in a week to do them all.
Keep coming back to see what’s new.
There are over four hundred pictures of Kent in the other series produced by Nigel
Wallace. The first were the pencil drawings in ‘A Shade of Britain’ covering Kent
towns and other subjects. He then went on to produce many photographs of the surrounding
towns and countryside both as prints and on canvas.
All these can be seen at www.nwfineart.co.uk
The White One Sugar team are based in Faversham, Kent and also run the greetings card site, the card shed. We are hoping new designers will join us in the future and become part of our friendly group of artists. We like working with other people and are always on the lookout for talented illustrators that can contribute to our collection of illustrations. Although we mainly draw town and landscapes we are interested in adding other types of images to our range. If you are talented at producing other styles, or even the same as ours, and would like to work with us then please get in touch.
