Southwold
We went, for the first time, in May this year (2011). Why have we never been before? It is such a wonderful seaside town that I felt I had to add it to this series of pictures. We now have two pictures but there will be more. It gives me a good reason to go back.

Southwold, Suffolk Information
Southwold is one of those places that offers all the charms of the seaside in a way
that only a Suffolk coastal town could.
With its sandy beach, sand dunes, pier, and
beach huts you can’t escape the fact that you are by the sea. Once in the town you
have a wealth of small shops, restaurants and a local brewery (Adnams). It even has
a small village green.
The Pier has a character all of its own. A rebuild was started in 1999 and finished in 2001. In 2002 it was named Pier of the year and is Britain’s only 21st century Pier.
